  • Duralite glass is an unique thermoplastic composite sheet material consisting from woven  glass fiber layers with a thermoplastic matrix. The continuous weaving provides a moderate resistance against flexing and torsional movement at a low material volume and unitary weight. Duralite glass sheets are slightly more flexible compared to carbon/glass sheets or full carbon sheets. www.duralitecomposites.com
  • To prevent adhesion the Duralite component must be formed enclosed between two sheets of silicone in a vacutherm machine (probably the most-used method). Applicable to all thickness versions and compositions of Duralite. Sufficient applied pressure is essential to obtain a stable and homogeneous final result. The silicone sheets are reusable. www.duralitecomposites.com
